When we set our table for Thanksgiving, we can support and welcome refugee artisans. The makers of Love Welcome are much more than refugees. They are creative, talented artisans. They are resilient, resourceful human beings. They are kind, funny individuals.
Many of us have been disconnected from family and friends in recent years and we are ever more grateful for the chance to be together. The past few years has given us a tiny glimpse of the pain and fear experienced on the refugee journey for those separated from the ones they love, because of war and violence.
This year, more than ever, we are thankful for the meal at our table and connection with family and friends.
“If you have more than you need, build a bigger table – not a higher fence.”
